Account & Data Deletion Policy
In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and Google Play / Apple App Store developer requirements, users have the absolute right to delete their account and wipe all personal litigation data.
How to Delete Your Account Inside the App
Direct self-service account deletionYou can permanently delete your Amicus Legist account and all associated data at any time directly inside the mobile application:
Open the Amicus Legist mobile app and tap on Profile in the bottom navigation menu.
Scroll down to the bottom of your profile screen to find the account management section.
Tap on Delete Account & Wipe Data.
Confirm the prompt to immediately and permanently erase your account, cases, drafts, and token balance.
Data Retention & Permanent Erasure Scope
When you trigger account deletion, the following data is permanently purged from active production servers:
- Personal & Profile Identifiers: Your registered email, full name, phone number, bar council details, and authentication sessions.
- Chamber Case Diary: All litigation records, CNR numbers, next date of hearing (NDOH) notes, and court listings.
- Pleadings & Drafts: All generated petitions, plaints, notices, and uploaded trial court documents.
- Research & Token Balance: Custom Bare Act bookmarks, judgment notes, and remaining token balances.
Important Note on In-App Subscriptions:
Deleting your Amicus Legist user account does not automatically cancel active recurring subscriptions billed through Google Play Store or Apple ID. To prevent future billing, please cancel your subscription in your Google Play Store or Apple App Store account settings prior to account deletion.
